Toccoa Falls College Partners with EPA
Toccoa Falls College recently attended a signing ceremony at Emory University in Atlanta, to sign an audit agreement to conduct voluntary environmental self-audits. In an effort to be proactive in pollution control regulation, colleges and universities from neighboring states came together to be a part of the EPA ceremony on June 25. In early 2007, Region 4, made up of Southeastern Colleges and Universities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, launched a College and University Compliance Incentive Initiative to encourage Colleges and Universities to conduct voluntary environmental self-audits. Through the signed agreement, these 101 private Colleges and Universities will cooperate with these audits over the next couple of years. This signing celebrates and announces a partnership to ensure compliance with environmental laws and promote environmental stewardship among colleges and universities.
